 Updates on our Missionaries

Patsy Teaford......................Poland
Patsy and others have been traveling a lot this month and they actually toured Wolf Lair where Hitler had bunkers and hid out for a while they also toured several other places during a team retreat.

They had a really good turnout in Waplewo and Jemiolowo, and were able to give out about 75 BIBLES to youth and adults during their time of ministries.  During that time Patsy was able to again witness to a 21 year old young lady named Asia, who wants  Christ as her savior, but fears that her family will disown her and put her out.
PLEASE PRAY FOR THIS YOUNG LADY and THOSE THAT RECIEVED THE WORD OF GOD THAT DAY!

On July13th-23rd Central Baptist church will be there doing some Children's Ministry in Platyny Szalstry.  There will be about 14  people coming from Central so Pray that Christ will be seen in them.

Last but not least please pray that Patsy and others  in Poland will continue to be able to disperse the word of God and witness to others.

Dear Praying Friends,
    After spending some time in June in the USA with our families and friends, we returned to Kenya to take up our responsibilities at KBTC (Kenya Baptist Theological College).  We rejoice for the opportunity to interact, and influence, God's servants as they attend KBTC. 
    We also rejoice for God's faithfulness and goodness to us - as last month we celebrated 20 years of missionary work with the International Mission Board. We know that only by His grace and mercy have we made it thus far!  Through many dangers, toils, and snares...shines God's amazing grace to the Langston's!
  
  Our true heroes are the missionaries who received their 30+ years pins of service for our Lord Jesus.  Many of them have poured out their lives for the sake of the Gospel...and at precious cost... being separated from families, surviving bouts of malaria, living in countries w/unstable governments, resistance, and so much more. Hebrews 11:15-16 "...if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return.  but now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country..."  Truly their sights were set on heavenly purposes to live and work in a foreign land such a long time!  Many of them will not receive a "heroes welcome home", but to those of us who have watched their faithfulness to God, and their perseverance through hard times, they are our true heroes.  Please pray for those who will be soon retiring and returning to the USA...pray for them to transition well, to find meaningful ministry opportunities, to be able to reconnect with family and friends, and to have financial needs met for setting up a house back in the U.S.
     We begin a new term at Kenya Baptist Theological College in August.  Ron will teach the Pauline Epistles and Missions/Evangelism; and Jan will teach English II.  Our classes are composed of men, and a few women, who are in preparation for ministry in churches throughout Kenya.  Pray for them as their daily classes begin at 7:30 AM and go through 6:30 PM.  This is with a lunch break and afternoon tea break only.  These students have to cover a lot of material in a short time, since each term is 3 weeks in length. They also have very little personal time, as ministry is scheduled in during their week-ends.  Pray that the students will have endurance, good health (now is our "flu" season) and will be able to concentrate on their studies.  Pray for their families and churches left behind for the 3 weeks while they are at the college.  Pray that we would encourage, equip and bless them as we teach and interact.
     Please pray for a team of 7 coming from Baptist churches in Jonesboro, AR area to minister with us in September.  Pray that God will go before us breaking down barriers to the Gospel and preparing hearts of people to hear His word and receive Jesus as Savior. Pray for the travel, health, logistics of the team...as we will move around quite a bit.

Hey Everyone,
 
      Thank you for the prayers. Yes, I am here and safe. My stuff made it, PG. Things are going good. there is only 2 of us gong through a small orientation to the new things we will encounter.  The other day we went to a hindu temple. Dark place, that's all I can say. I couldn't think or even know what pray. I was so awe struck that people would do the things they were doing.  It was a very new experience. I have not made it to were I will be living yet. I am in a big city that is 3 times the size of AR. However, one of the guys that picked us up from the airport was from AR. I also met my teammate this past weekend. I have been blessed with an awesome teammate with a great heart. We will be going on a trip whenever I get there. Hopefully we will make some new contacts for our trip in November. It is all
 up to HIM. one important thing, it has been brought up that where we are at, there is major warefare. So your prayers are needed. Not  just for us, but for the people we will be with. Last thing, not that I am a big deal, but if you know of anyone that wants the updates, tell them to shoot me an email. Also, we are having a community trip to engage some people. Please pr*y for that as well. Love you all and I am lifting you up. Thank you.

 Hello Everyone! 
      I write to you from the great world of South Asia!!  I arrived in the wee hours of the morning Wednesday, January 14th.  Travel went rather smoothly, except for a slight mix-up in Germany.  It was here that they told me that my bags would not be seeing me at my final destination!  I was extremely confused, but I kept pr**ing, "Dad I know you are bigger than the baggage ticket!"  Well things worked out and my bags did indeed meet me in the end!  I was extremly thankful!  Dad is good all the time!! 
     Well, I am settled here in the capital city for another week or so doing some hands on cultural training.  From there, I will depart for my city on the 28th of January, for which I am very excited!  
     I got to visit a Hindu temple earlier this week, which truely broke my heart. They pour so much devotion, pretty much all their life, into worshiping some idol. Its utterly heartbreaking to see their faces looking and praying with longing to these pagan gods.  Pr** for the chains of darkness to be broken and for REAL TRUTH to be heard.  These people need truth; nothing more, nothing less.  John chapter 14 and number 6 says,  "I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life."  These people need THE TRUTH. Its interesting to be in a place where people are truely seeking to find spiritual things!  Here they want to be "spiritually connected" so bad, sad thing is they think all ways are good.  Pr** that they will be awakened to the one TRUE WAY!  Here is another visual for you!  I was walking thru the market the other day when I was face to face with a "bejewelled" cow.  This cow was decked out in jewels, glitter, and ornaments.  The man walking him was collecting money from people because they were in the presence of a "god."  And the sad thing is people were giving him all he wanted.  Crazy I know!  
     Well, I have so much more to tell, but very little time.  They are keeping us very busy in our short time here in the city.  So, I will try and write again soon!  Please be in pr**er for these beautiful people whom our Dad loves. 
     
      I would love to be lifting you up as well.  If you have a specific way I can talk to Dad for you please let me know!  Thank you for all your support thus far, you are a HUGE part of this journey and work.  Don't ever forget that.
